Fear of Your Own Potential

“To inspire others, one must first find inspiration within themselves by being honest. It’s there, Sis. I promise you.” -K.

If we knew everything that was waiting for us in the future, we would never know how to enjoy the present and its gifts. We would become fearful of our own potential and would become complacent to what is expected. Growing up, I would wish away the present with words of “I’ll do it tomorrow,” or “I can’t wait until I’m older.” I never really took the time to enjoy the moment that I was in. When things didn’t happen for me or when they took longer than I wanted them to, I had already missed out on the best parts. I wanted so badly to see everything that was coming. I couldn’t enjoy the moment, because the fear of the unknown was greater. A part of the healing process is acknowledging where you are, who you are, and what you want to become. It’s not about comparing yourself and competing in a non-existent race. The acceptance of things that have come to pass, allows room for growth, and abundance of positivity. Honesty is they key. What you give, in some way, shape, or form is what you receive in return. The light, intention, love and peace that you’re searching for is within you. I believe in you. It’s okay to fear what you do not know. Treat that fear as if it’s a hunger that needs to be fed. Become full off honesty, love, attention and affection. Inspire yourself by believing in yourself. The possibilities to your potential are endless, ass soon as you accept them.
